Throughout her professional journey, Gillian has developed a broad-ranging background as a Senior HR leader with talent management experience and has worked, lived and travelled throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. In her current role as a Senior Advisor, Talent Strategy for Royal Dutch Shell she is responsible for delivering world-class outcomes for Senior Succession Planning and expertise in the Human Cloud and other Future of Work trends.
As an organizational thought and change leader, Gillian is committed to bringing the latest trends and insights to her work. Her forward thinking and innovative approach results in robust people and business performance.
In addition to her global work in the HR profession, Gillian serves on a number of boards in Alberta. With the belief that the Future of Work is deeply rooted in STEM, Gillian is on the Board of Directors for the Alberta Science Network helping to make science fun and meaningful for kids of all ages. Additionally, Gillian has a strong focus on empowering women in achieving their goals and is a Board Member of Ask Her Association, helping to increase the number of women on Calgary’s City Council.
Gillian has an MBA from Queens University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and a Certificate in Social Impact from Queens University. She also holds her CPHR designation.
